Frequently Asked Questions

When should I visit the dentist?

The American Dental Association recommends visiting a dentist every six months or potentially even more often, depending on your past dental health. Regular check-ups help prevent many common oral issues from developing, including cavities and gum disease. When you allow our dental professionals to give you an exam and take x-rays, they are able to diagnose and treat issues in the earliest stages.

I have a toothache. Do I need a root canal?

Although this is a possibility, it is best to reach out to us for a consultation. Root canals are safe and help to eliminate any infection. We seal the canals to prevent further bacteria from entering. If you have sensitive teeth that react strongly to temperature change, don't hesitate to give us a call.

What is periodontal disease?

Gum disease develops when plaque or tartar starts to build along the gumline, which affects the soft tissue negatively. This results in red, swollen, bleeding gums when you brush. In its earliest stages, gum disease is usually reversible with treatment and consistent maintenance. Contact us if you have symptoms or signs of gum disease.

Does teeth whitening work?

Today’s teeth whitening systems can transform your smile, brightening your teeth multiple shades and resulting in brilliant, shiny teeth. Consult with our dentists to identify which treatment is right for you.

Are implant dentures better than regular dentures?

For many patients, they can be, but there is never a one-size-fits-all solution in dental care. Dental implants are considered a more natural restoration because they restore both the root structure and the crown of lost teeth. Traditional dentures rely on suction between the jawbone and the denture to remain in place. Dental implants offer increased stability for a more natural look and feel.

Do you see new patients during dental emergencies?

Absolutely. If you live in or around Frisco, we invite you to contact us right away during a dental emergency. We’re happy to help whenever patients need us.

Do you take my insurance?

Our knowledgeable team processes and files claims for most major dental insurance providers, and we are in-network with many of the PPO benefit plans.
